Apart from the expansion of the port, the island of Porto Inglês also saw the launch of the new ring road.

This Friday began the construction of the circular road of Porto Inglês, a work of about 20 thousand contos. "We are fulfilling, unlocking localities, allowing greater mobility and development of the local economy, with consequences for improving the quality of life of the populations," writes the Prime Minister in his Facebook social network.

According to the Prime Minister, the new road will ensure the creation of a preferred corridor - Airport / Porto / Porto Inglês / Industrial Zone of the city. “In 4 months, we will be inaugurating it”, assured the Head of Government.

Concern about the deadlines had already been mentioned during the launch of the Maio port modernization works: “In a year and a half, we will be inaugurating the Porto Inglês Expansion and Modernization. It is an important moment for boosting the island's economy, attracting private investment and paving the way for growth, job creation, rising household incomes and basic conditions for us to create a better future for our young people”, underlined Ulysses Correia e Silva.
