CV Inter-Ilhas Increases Ferry Service to Maio
With the Sotavento, the CVII will connect Praia and Maio on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
Companhia Cabo Verde Interilhas, CVII, has just updated its schedule for the various national routes. There is a novelty that stands out: the increase in connections between Praia and the island of Maio.
CV Inter-Ilhas (CVII) has increased the ferry connections between the two Ports. From now on, 4 connections are scheduled, which are expected to increase to 5 in March 2020.
With the Sotavento, the CVII will connect Praia and Maio on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
According to OPAÍS.cv, the connections between Praia-Maio, on Tuesdays, happen at 7 am, with return scheduled for 7 pm, on the same day. On Fridays, departures at 5 pm, return to Cidade da Praia at 9 pm. On Saturdays, Sotavento connects Praia and Maio at 7 am, with a return scheduled for 5 pm. There are also connections between the two Ports scheduled for Sunday, leaving the Capital at 3 pm and returning three hours later, on the same day.
The Praia-Maio route is line 4 of the CVII. It should be noted that the minimum service, under the concession contract, would be 3 weekly connections, but reportedly, the flow of passengers on the route exceeded the forecasts of the Company, which thus reprogrammed that line.
Here, there is a significant improvement in terms of the provision of passenger transport services. It should be noted that in August 2019, CVII started operations under a concession contract with the State of Cape Verde.
