During the stay on the island, the Opia Kumah delegation will launch the incubator and the ProForma and Solutions Mapping Program, to be implemented by Maio Bussiness Center, to help women entrepreneurs and have their business plans and formalize their their companies.
For the afternoon, the delegation has scheduled a courtesy visit to the mayor and his team, during which he will learn about the impact of the project implemented as part of the rapid response to Covid-19, as well as the selection process. project under the Decentralization Fund.
On Wednesday the delegation should visit the urban and environmental requalification works in the city of Porto Inglês, carried out under the scope of covid-19, financed by UNDP and then proceeded to the interpretative center of Salinas do Porto Inglês and the Cooperative of Sal.
During Wednesday, visits to the facilities of Águas e Energias do Maio and to the central reservoir and desalination plant in Ponta Preta are also planned.
A visit to the Montinho de Lume community is scheduled for Thursday, where the Decentralization Fund project will be implemented, and the delegation will then proceed to Figueiras, where there is a grog production unit.
The delegation of the United Nations Joint Office should also visit the shipyard and quarry, where the material for the construction of the Port is extracted and meet with members of the platform for the local development of Maio and ODS, and with young entrepreneurs.
On the last day of the visit, Friday, the delegation will launch the incubator for Maio and the ProForma Program.
